Board of Directors

The Swedish Agency for Health and Care Services Analysis is led by a board of directors. They make the decisions on analysis plans and publication of reports.

The board consists of Anders Anell, Chair of the Board, and professor of health care delivery organisation and financial control at Lund University; Eva Fernvall, Head of communications at Apoteket AB; Mef Nilbert, Chief physician and professor in oncology at Lund University; and Karin Tengvald, former professor at the department of health and medical sciences at Linköping University. Director Fredrik Lennartsson, who is responsible for the day-to-day operations, is also on the board.

Below is an introduction to the members of the board of directors for the Swedish Agency for Health and Care Services Analysis.

Anders Anell
CHAIR OF THE BOARD
Economist and professor of health care delivery organisation and financial control at Lund University. Former head of the Swedish Institute for Health Economics (IHE) at Lund.

Karin Tengvald
VICE CHAIR OF THE BOARD
Ms. Tengvald is today retired but used to be professor at the department of health and medical sciences at Linköping University. Also, former head of the Center for evaluation of social work at the National Board of Health and Welfare. 

Eva Fernvall
MEMBER
Head of communications at the pharmaceutical company Apoteket AB. Former chair of the Swedish Association of Health Professionals.

Mef Nilbert
MEMBER
Chief physician and professor of oncology at Lund University, and Head of Regional Cancer Centre South.

Fredrik Lennartsson
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Director of the Swedish Agency for Health and Care Services since April 2011. Graduate of the Stockholm School of Economics. Worked for over 10 years on national and international health issues at the Ministry of Social Affairs in such positions as the head of the International Unit and as deputy head for the Health Care Unit. Previously, he also worked on developing health systems in underdeveloped countries.
